Ray Welter was born in Anaheim, California, and spent his formative years in Orange County. An architect by training, photography has always paralleled his career in architecture. This has continued as he pursues his B.A. degree in Art from San Francisco State University.
Ray’s photography often combines architecture with the decay of our modern built environment, showing the juxtaposition of the new versus the old, the corners we pass by everyday but don’t notice; communities that time has passed by.
Ray is currently transitioning from architecture to photography full time and will be publishing his first book in 2015.
